Prorated Billing Explained
When Upgrading
Example:
Current plan: $49/month
New plan: $99/month
Days remaining in billing period: 15 days
Prorated charge: ($99 - $49) × (15/30) = $25
You pay $25 now, then $99/month going forward.
When Downgrading
Example:
Current plan: $99/month
New plan: $49/month
Days remaining: 15 days
Credit applied: ($99 - $49) × (15/30) = $25
$25 credit applied to next invoice.

Troubleshooting
Can't change plan
Solution: Ensure payment method is valid. Check that you're the account owner (only owners can change plans). Clear any outstanding invoices first.
Upgrade didn't unlock features
Solution: Log out and log back in. Features should appear within 5 minutes. If not, contact support.
Charged wrong amount
Solution: Check the prorated calculation in your billing history. If it's still incorrect, contact support with invoice details.
Lost data after downgrade
Solution: Data isn't deleted, just archived. Upgrade back to your previous plan to restore access, or contact support to export archived data.
